yield

To yield is the opposite of resist. Sometimes, yielding is better than resisting, for example

• when it's actually a thank you move
• when the opponent has more thickness
• when you have less ko threats
• when you are ahead
• when it's unavoidable

A soft way of resisting is to sacrifice: the opponent gets what he wants but not the way he wants it.
