Takao Mari

Takao Mari (高雄 茉莉) Nihon Ki-in is a Nagoya branch female professional 2-dan. She was born on 10 May 2001, Aichi Prefecture, and was a pupil of Yamashiro Hiroshi 9p. She became a professional in 2019 (female special recruitment recommendation).

According to the Women's rating list of 2024-01-01, Takao Mari is the #60 ranked female go player in the world, and #10 female in Japan.

Takao reached the final of the 42nd Female Honinbo challenger's tournament, Sakuramoto Ayako 1p, beating Nakamura Sumire 3p, Koyama Terumi 7p, and Nyu Eiko 4p, on the way. But she lost to Ueno Risa 2p in the final, who then unsuccessfully challenged Fujisawa Rina 6p for the[ title, losing 2–3.
