Rescue And Capture

Rescue and Capture is the first volume of Yang Yilun's Pocket Series available from Amazon (Pocket Series volume 1). The small, thin volume (designed to fit in one's pocket) contains 80 tesuji problems.

The purpose of the problems are to increase ones reading ability. As such, studying this volume is demanding, requiring one to read several, at times many, variations to select the one that best suits the local situation. The goal of the book is to help the reader achieve the strength of 1 dan.

Problems appear on the right-hand or odd-numbered pages with three diagrams (one solution, two failure) on the left-hand or even-numbered page immediately following.

There are times for people completing this book to estimate its grade at Problem Book Grades.
