Pierre Audouard
Pierre Audouard, 5 dan, French champion 2007. European team Champion 2008 ( With Jean-François Séailles, Paul Drouot and Olivier Clergue), Born in 1967, started Go in 1984.
A prominent figure in the French Go scene. Based in Marseille. A leading teacher, Pierre has established the two diplomas[1] awarded by the French Go Federation for teachers. Pierre has mentioned his ambition to found a go school in Marseille.
Pierre has studied teaching Go in 1998 in Japan with Yasuda Yasutoshi 9d. In 2001 he spent two months in Korea at the Kirin Go school studying Go alongside children, in order to familiarise himself with Korean teaching methods for children.
Pierre suffers from severe sight loss due to Retinitis pigmentosa. He can just about see a go board adequately for playing if a strong light is shone on the board. This was a motivation for his invention of a new coordinate system for go.
