Nagashima Kozue
Nagashima Kozue (長島梢恵, born October 3, 1984) is a Nihon Ki-in pro, 1 dan in 2002, 3 dan in 2019. Nee Mukai (向井) Kozue and her older sister Mimura Kaori as well as younger sister Mukai Chiaki are also professionals.
The four Kobayashi siblings (Kobayashi Chizu, Kobayashi Satoru, Kobayashi Kenji, and Kobayashi Takayuki, are her first cousins once removed (her mother's cousins; Kobayashis' father and Nagashima's maternal grandfather were brothers).
The sisters first learned Go from the Kobayashis' father, her great uncle. All became pupils of Honda Sachiko, herself one of three professional Go-playing sisters, and Honda's apprentice Yoshida Yoichi. The sisters played one or two games per week with Honda for years, slowly reducing the handicap.
Kozue is the middle Mukai sister, and the first one to become a professional.
On 22 August 2009, Mukai Kozue married Nagashima Koichirou, a company employee. On 2 September year, she took her husband's surname. On 13 Feb 2010, she gave birth to their first child, a daughter Chihiro. On 10 May 2013, she bore their second child, a son, Ryo.
