Makihata Taeko

Makihata Taeko (巻幡 多栄子, born February 9, 1980) is a retired professional of the Nihon Ki-in. Professional shodan in 1997, 2 dan in 2001, 3 dan in 2005, 4 dan in 2014. Retired in 2022 so was given the usual retirement one-dan promotion to 5 dan.

She is the ex-wife of Mimura Tomoyasu (now 9 dan). They have two sons together, both of whom are serious tournament Go players.
