kyuseikai

In Hikaru No Go Isumi studies at the Kyuseikai some kind of go school? for young professionals and/or insei. I would like to know on which school/ organisation this is based.

Anybody an idea?

Bob McGuigan: Most likely, judging from the name, it was based on Kikuchi Yasuro's go school, the Ryokusei Academy. JF has written a good, but somewhat out of date, article about it here

(answering my own question) Maybe it was the Kogyoku-kai

kai means someting like school as far as i know.
