Bill: I appreciate Jared's viewpoint. :-) But it seems to me that most amateur dan players are up to these kiai plays, too, not just pros.

Reuven: Yes... I'd even go as far as saying that amateurs often have too much kiai (spirit) and the difference is in the fact pros and strong players in general unlike us tend to back it up by great reading skills...

Jared Beck(3/3/05): I agree Reuven. Fighting spirit, not backed up by reading, is just intimidation. I wonder how many of the peeps I've played could have been ignored. :)
