I was just thinking for the case in Indonesia. If only go is popular and wide spread in Indonesia, the country can become the leading manufacturer of go equipment in the world. Indonesian rainforest got large enough trees to make endless supply of quality goban. Not only that, wide selection of trees will increase the type of goban.

Not only goban, Indonesia can also produce its own stone. Marbles, Onyx and River Boulders are abudant and can be used to make the stones.

At the same time this also a good chance to introduce the distinct cultural background of Indonesia by giving the some of the high class goban an Indonesian touch as wood carving is one of Indonesian speciality.

One of the would be plus side is the fact that labour salary in Indonesia is low, therefore, it will reduce the price for the equipments. As for the moment, the minimum labour salay is about less than US$2 per day due to unemployment rate in Indonesia.

What Indonesian needs now is a person to explore this new business & industry.
