Double atari as a tesuji

 

White would like to cut off Black with and but when puts a stone in atari and pulls out, the attempt fails. and are cut off.

 

Rather than in the previous diagram, the double atari of here is tesuji. A and B are miai for cutting off the big black group.

This tesuji is related to the crosscut tesuji. It sets up a ko lock.
