Crush

Keywords: Life & Death, Go term

The term crush is sometimes used for oshi-tsubushi (when a defender prevents their attacker forming a nakade shape by playing atari on stones filling all but one point in their eyespace) or for similar techniques.

It may also be another of Tamsin's many neologisms. This time, it describes the eye-destroying technique required to solve the following sample problem from the Korean Baduk Academy (see [ext] http://www.gobase.org/):

Black remorsely "crushes" the potential eye with a hane followed by a throw-in.

I personally believe, that this is the very same technique as the "Pulley" or am I wrong?

Anonymous: I think you are wrong. The "pulley" is a shortage of liberties technique while this is not.
