South Africa

  • The South African Go Association sells the same sets sold at the Korean Market in Rivonia (see below) for R140 - for more details on ordering, see the [ext] South African Go Clubs website. They also sell more expensive, higher-quality sets, as well as a variety of books.
  • A Korean Market in Rivonia Junction in Rivonia Rd, Johannesburg has 19x19 boards. These are folding boards and have a Korean Chess set on the back. They also have stones. The set and stones are slightly smaller than standard, however. These are the best boards we've found available for retail in South Africa
  • Rivonia Square in Rivonia Rd, Johannesburg. There's a little shop with wooden puzzles and things that have 19x19 boards. These boards are very small though, the stones are very small and not easy to play with. I've forgotten the name of the store.
  • [ext] House of Chess sells sets online
