This squeeze sequence is a fairly standard sequence. If W4 at B5 then B5 at B7.

In fact, there is something similar in one of the small nadare josekis.

gogobera: so, is this an overplay by white??

zxb: yes, this is still an overplay by white. If white sacrifice the three stones to live in the corner, you can see how black's stones all become connected and strong, while white's left group still needs to crawl on the second line for life. Black's position is much, much better than white's.

Unfortunately, looking at how to refute B1 is not as easy as it seems. W4 is the tesuji.
