unkx80: In Chinese joseki literature, I frequently see the term 场合定式, which can be roughly translated to "circumstancial joseki". The idea is, in the circumstances, there is already a fixed sequence of moves, but the results may favour one player locally, but may be acceptable to both players based on the whole board configuration.
