I don't have this book, but the original "likened" sounds correct to me. Doesn't sound like an error to me.
"Likened" is correct. It is certainly not "linked" because there's no corner enclosure to link to in the diagram. The actual sentence describes a white sanrensei and says: "It can be likened to a corner enclosure which extends along the entire left side and whose influence radiates across the whole board." Comparing a sanrensei to big corner enclosure is a bit odd, but saying it radiates influence is certainly a common description.
This my original question, I removed it from the errata page as it isn't an errata.

Was "linked" meant instead?
