Has anyone an idea how to rearrange some of the thousands of pages on rating and ranks? I like the FAQ presentation here, but it only includes a fraction of the many pages available. Can we turn this in a giant ranks & ratings path?
Despite the many pages, SL e.g. has about no mention of the wonderful study by André Engels, which concludes that for kyu players self-ranking is more predictive for results than rating.
Given that the article Rank is already a path, it seems obvious to me that anything about rank should be in that path; that sounds like a straightforward administrative action.
I agree with you that it would be good to keep rank and rating in one path together. That is already the case, since the Rank page has a whole section on rating systems. Therefore, to fit the content of the path to its name, we should name it RankAndRating?, and merge it with the existing article of that name. Rank then probably should just remain a stub article by its own right.
