I have recently started to replay the games from this book but I became confused when I got to game number 45 (Complete Game Collection p.103). In the description it says Kadono Chuzaemon (6 dan) takes black while Yasuda Shusaku (3 dan) takes white. I investigated further and found that in the SGF collection from the Sensei's Library link collection and also from other chinese online archives that Shusaku is recorded to have taken white. I went a little further and downloaded a trial version of SmartGo and in their database Shusaku takes black. This is the first encounter of such a problem so far and I have yet to go through the rest of the book. I have tried searching for this game online to see if this discrepancy has been mentioned before but I found nothing. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Game info: Tenpo 14th Year (1843) April 12th, Black wins by resignation - 64 moves recorded
GoGoD records Shusaku as taking white, with the game comment:
