Bob McGuigan: I think this refers to a mentoring relationship between Fujisawa and Cho that developed after Cho qualified as pro 1-dan in Japan. Segoe is considered Cho's teacher because Cho was his pupil and/or apprentice when studying to become 1-dan in Japan.
