Dieter: The changes have taken the key aspect out of the text, namely, that it is a whole board joseki itself and not the evaluation of a (local) joseki in the context of the game. The whole board approach is deeper than presented in the current text. There has been an evolution:

1. Local joseki: if equal in all parts, sum will be equal.
2. Choice of local joseki according to whole board position
3. Development of whole board joseki

Therefore, I'd like to restore some phrases.

Also, why are we so afraid to sound conclusive? They give an equal result, period. Are believed, is believed ...
