Usote

    Keywords: Go term

Usote ( ウソ手 ), a Japanese go term, is a play that may look OK at first, but is flawed, so that if the opponent replies correctly, it takes a loss. The opposite of honte.

Usote overlaps with hamete, but most usote are simply mistakes. See also zokushu.
