Splinter

Spinter was born in Japan, being given the name Hamato Yoshi. He took up the name Splinter after moving to the United States in 1987. While in America, Splinter took on four pupils who he trained in the art of ninjitsu to fight the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan.

Following Shredder's defeat, Splinter began training in Go to improve his mental awareness and to help him read his opponents moves and understand their psychology. Splinter now applies what he has learned in Go directly to his teaching and personal style of ninjitsu.
