Samsung Cup Korean female preliminaries

For the 26th (2021) edition of the Samsung Cup, all the Korean female candidates for qualification were placed together in an isolated preliminary tournament.

This essentially created another Korean women's event.

The players were as follows, in decreasing order of rank.

• Choi Jung
• Lee Minjin
• O Yujin
• Park Jiyeon
• Cho Seunga
• Lee Dohyun
• Park Jiyoung
• Ryu Joohyun

Choi, Lee, Cho and Park won their first games.

In the second round, Choi beat Lee Minjin and Cho beat Park. Cho Seunga then beat Choi Jung, in what was somewhat of an upset.

After qualifying into the main tournament, Cho was eliminated in the first round by Yamashita Keigo.
