Noguchi Motoki
Noguchi Motoki (野口 基樹) is a Japanese amateur 7d living in Strasbourg, France. See his Tournament history (in French). He plays on KGS as 'motoki'. Noguchi is the French vice champion 2005, the French 2008 champion, the French 2010 champion, and a very active teacher.
He is also the author of two books on Go, written in French, a language he speaks fluently having lived in France for many years.
- "Jeu de Go: le language des pierres" (third edition, 2010) is published by PRAXEO, a very successful primer on Go.
- "Tsumego: l'art du combat au jeu de go" (2009, PRAXEO) is a huge, 544 page tome on Go fighting, concentrating on life and death and Ko.
He is also involved in a project to translate a series of books, written in Japanese, about Cho Chikun, into French.
