Meetings:
You can also join us on Facebook if wanting to connect with players in Manitoba, Canada.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/manitobagoassociation/
The Facebook group (not to be confused with our Facebook page) is our primary method of confirming meeting attendance and connecting players across our home province of Manitoba. Unless group admins/moderators recognize you personally, requests to join may be denied or simply not reviewed if application questionnaires are not completed (as of December 2024, the questionnaire has never been more than 3 questions)
New members are encouraged to make a post indicating availability and preferred region/area to meet for a game or lesson, and ideally someone will be quick to comment in response. The Facebook group was explicitly created for the purpose of assisting Manitobans to find other nearby Go players
In 2019, fees were added to the weekly meeting space, and Covid hit before establishing a new venue and meeting plan. As of December 2024; we've had some virtual meets but have not resumed weekly meetings in person due to combinations of scheduling and supply transport factors.
