Mainichi Shinbun

(毎日新聞) Major newspaper and go sponsor in Japan. It sponsored Honinbo Shusai's retirement game in 1938, acquired the most prestigious name and started the Honinbo tournament in 1939; it was a very important turning point in the history of Go.
