Beginner, from Paris, France.
I play on KGS and DGS under the nickname 'Morendil'.
Trivia: used to play Agora Nomic with AndreEngels.
I just won an even game against a 18k opponent, playing White. Had an odd thought after the game - pleasantly surprised to have won, even though I'd made all those silly 18k mistakes. But then it struck me that during the game I'd spotted a few mistakes of my opponent's that were also silly 18k mistakes, and managed to avoid some of my own. And that's precisely how to win games and moves on to the next ranks; eliminate from my playing the silly mistakes that characterize it as 18k (and so on).
Woohoo ! Made Shodan today... IgoWin shodan, that is. ;) Still, it gave me a kick - being able to beat Igo giving it two stones seems like magic somehow. I remember when I couldn't and it seems like I shouldn't be able to do that. And yet... I can.
