Sub-page of KyuExercise17

This problem is an extension of Beginner Exercise 41.

[Diagram]
Solution.

White plays at W1. As Black cannot play at a, Black can only play at B2...

[Diagram]
Solution.

White's throw-in at W3 is a tesuji. Black still cannot play at a because of shortage of liberties.

[Diagram]
Solution.

If Black plays at B4, W5 sets up a snapback and Black is left with a false eye.

[Diagram]
Solution.

Here a and b are miai, so Black has only one eye.

[Diagram]
Solution.

Defending at B4 automatically destroys any possible eye at B4. W5 kills.

[Diagram]
Solution.

B2 makes an eye here. Again, W3 makes an throw-in...

[Diagram]
Solution.

Another throw-in at W5, which makes the eye false.

Solution.

This diagram does not need any further explanation.
