Kato Kagetaka

(加藤 景孝) Opponent of Shusai three times as a shodan: in 1887, 1888 and 1890. Later 2-dan, amateur pupil of Hoensha, former samurai.

The first game was shodan rengo: Kato and Sugioka Eijiro played against Shusai and Maruyama Motomasa?.

Not to be confused with the later Kato Shin, b. 1891, who began playing with Shusai in 1915.
