Inukai Tsuyoshi

Inukai Tsuyoshi (犬養 毅, 1855-1932) was a Japanese journalist and politician. Inukai served as Prime Minister 1931-1932. He was a Go patron, and worked to bring Go Seigen to Japan. As a go player he was quite strong. A four stone handicap game between Inukai and Iwasa Kei 6 dan is included in Masterpieces of Handicap Go volume 2. On his death the Nihon Ki-in awarded him the honorary rank of 3 dan.
