International Amateur Pair Go Championship
The International Amateur Pair Go Championship is an annual international amateur pair go competition. It was first held in 1990.
- 1990: Started as the NKB Cup International Igo Amateur Pair Tournament.
- 1991: International Go Federation became the main organizer. The tournament changed to a name slightly different from the current one ("Pair Igo").
- 1994: Main organizer switched to the Japan Pair Go Association.
- 2002: Changed to the current name ("Pair Go").
The format is a knockout, with 32 pairs taking part. In the inaugural event 4 countries competed. Since then there have usually been 16 pairs from around the world and 16 from Japan.
