The paperback edition is a six-volume version of the revised hardcover edition. The hardcover edition was published as "Saishin (Newest) Igo Daitjiten". However, the paperback edition reverted to simply "Igo Daijiten". See below...

Number of diagrams:

• Volumes 1-2 (volume 1 in the original) contain 7,536 diagrams
• Volumes 3-4 (volume 2 in the original) contain 7,337 diagrams
• Volumes 5-6 (volume 3 in the original) contain 7,550 diagrams

Here is a scan of the diagrams that relate to the comparison made in New in Go article 40, between the original edition of Igo Daijiten and Kitani's Jouseki Shoujiten. Unfortunately the diagram with the allusions to Chinese history is no longer included.
