Huang Liping

Huang Liping is a Chinese professional 4-dan living and teaching in the United States (as of June 2005) since 1991. She is the daughter of Huang Yongji. She learned Go from her father at age 13.

In tournaments, she won the Provincial Go Championship of Anhui Province and in 1977 earned second place in the Chinese National Go Tournament. For seven years, she was a member of the Chinese National Go Team and obtained the rank of 4-dan. In the competition against Japan, she was undefeated.

Huang Liping is the author of Liping Huang's Problem Series, Volume 1 (Slate and Shell, 2003).
