Traditional solution refuted  

to is the traditional solution to kill, given in Gokyo Shumyo. But leads to ko. This may be the originally intended solution by Dosetsu Inseki, because Hatsuyo-ron had no published solutions.

The following solution was given by Cheng Xiaoliu in Weiqi Fa Yang Lun (1986), which replaces the earlier Gokyo Shumyo solution which is believed to be wrong. at allows White to live in many ways. In this line, Black can capture the bulk of White stones.
