Gokyo Shumyo, Section 1, Problem 75 / Varation

In Gokyo Shumyo, Section 1, Problem 75 / Solution, the following response is untreated:

Variation at 2

I believe that the W3/B4 exchange is unnecessary, and that W3 at W5 already forces B6. Otherwise W5 at B4 seems to live or get out very quickly. So here, IMHO, is the main line.

White 11 at a makes an eye.

The variations at B8 are similar to Gokyo Shumyo, Section 1, Problem 75 / Solution.

Other responses at B6 run into shortage of liberties.
