Most Go players eventually buy fine Go equipment; a wooden board, bowls, slate and shell stones...

• put a soft cloth in the bottom of the go bowls to provide a soft cushion for the (goishi) against the wood of the bowls. (cf RGG)
• a gosu baku to protect goke; see Flickr for how to tie the special knot
