My name is John Ekberg; I live in Copenhagen in Denmark, and I got hooked on Go in the middle of 2007 after reading that even beginners can beat the best computer programs. I also find it very fascinating that the simple rules can lead to so many complex situations; that many concepts from Go also apply to real life; and the handicap system which lets you play interesting games with much stronger or weaker players.

I guess I am relatively good at intuitive play (shape, moyo) and terrible at reading (fight). I wish I could learn some close combat techniques. By now, I try to attack randomly and get astonished if my cuts or kills succeed.

I play as "ekberg" on KGS and as of september 2007 my rating is 13-15 kyu.

I have studied SL as a maniac, and I look forward to contribute to the content here.
