dr is Dan Rosen, an amateur go player from San Francisco. I play on KGS and am currently struggling to reach shodan. A couple interesting observations about my rank graph:
- I was laid off from my last job in the beginning of December, 2003. In the following three weeks, I gained three stones.
- In late February, I went to Japan for three weeks and returned in early March. The stupid thing is, I didn't play any go while I was there. So I had a substantial losing streak when I returned.
- I finally made single-digit kyu in early April, but in mid-April, I got a job. I haven't gotten any stronger since then...
My KGS user info, in haiku form:
I like to play go. It keeps my brain from freezing, Except when I'm dumb.
We can all misclick, That's when I allow undos. Otherwise, no dice.
Ok, last haiku:
My name is "dr." I live in San Francisco, And I'm twenty-six.
I'm wondering about Counting Points in Seki.
