I got started playing go in about 1992 by purchasing Nemesis on a whim. I enjoyed it so much that I started teaching co-workers in order to get opponents.

About this time I moved from Dallas, TX to Tulsa, OK and discovered the local Go club. My first meeting began with a 5 stone game against a Korean gentleman (2 kyu) who didn't speak very good english but was able to explain "you need two eyes" -- I knew that, but didn't play well enough that he could tell.

I'm now an AGA 6 Kyu, and planning on getting stronger. I'm still teaching any co-worker that will sit still.
