Dan Ko

The literal translation of dan ko is step ko. However, that English phrase has at times been used to refer to approach kos. There is no consensus on how to use the term, step ko. An unambiguous translation is iterated ko.

Here at Sensei's Library, consensus has been reached on Multi-Stage Ko. Hence,

• a nidan ko is aliased as two stage ko
• a sandan ko is aliased as three stage ko
