Chan Ka Yui

Chan Ka Yui (陳 嘉鋭, called Chin Kaei in Japanese) was born in China on 23 August 1954. He later moved to Hong Kong. Won the World Amateur Go Championship in 1986, the only time the Hong Kong representative has won this event. Soon afterwards he moved to Japan, where he was accepted as a professional 5 dan by the Kansai Ki-in in 1987. Promoted to 9 dan in 1996.

He is still professionally active as of 2021. However, Go4Go has no record of him making it past the preliminaries of a big seven title since 2014.
