Perez's introduction to Chile

Extract from the introduction to Chile by Perez Jamett Jorge Wilson, written for the 16th (2021) Korean Prime Minister's Cup:

The Chilean Go Federation started officially in 2013, but started as a National Association in 1989, with the support of clubs in Santiago, Concepcion and Valparaiso.

Now we count with 9 clubs in its territory and more forming groups to collaborate.

We count with some 40 regular players and around 100 that participate more sporadically, showing up in our tournaments and events through the year.

We’ve been participating in the KPMC since its very beginning in 2006, with Ivan Pineyro. (...)

Besides our tournaments, courses and events, this year we did the 1st Chilean Congress during 1 week, having 6 different tournaments, talks and expositions about baduk, the psychology, AI and many more, all these days with streaming for every activity and comments on the games by stronger players.
