4-4 Point Small Knight Approach, Low Extension, Slide, Pincer, Tsukehiki

Attach and link up

After the 4-4 Point Low Approach, Low Extension, Slide, Pincer White can attach to the marked black stone with W1 then link up with W3. It is natural now for Black to take the corner and sacrifice the marked stone. If the top is important and the left side is not (or strong already) then Black can make the opposite choice.

Corner and sacrifice

Black plays on both sides and takes sente. White stabilizes with a fair amount of profit. Black better treat black+circle lightly.

Protecting the top

White has avoided being shut in, while occupying the 3-3 point. This is more complicated for Black.
