here are a couple ideas:

you could try Jan van der Steen's sgf2misc software. It will generate images from SGF files. You can try it out using the GoBase online service.

But I don't really see why we should enhance Wikipedia over SL.

Charles Wikipedia is consulted by many more people; and they are people who are going to draw conclusions about go from what they see on WP.

Yeah, any time I hear about something new, I almost always check what's it out on Wikipedia.
