Got an "insecure connection" error -- looks like the certificate expired: Monday, March 11, 2019, 5:41:58 AM
Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE
(Was easy to bypass on Firefox, under advanced, adding a site exception, but I guess that might not be available under all browsers. Can probably skip by using http instead of https as well, didn't try that. Of course, anyone facing the problem can't read this advice!)
I've emailed arno to ask him to look at this. As it is late at night in europe at the moment, there is a reasonable chance he won't check his email till tommorrow. I guess he first created the certificate a year ago and didn't make a note in his diary to check that auto-renewal worked. We all have these embarrassing oversights happen to us.
I had sth very similar :
Your clock is ahead
A private connection to senseis.xmp.net can't be established because your computer's date and time (Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 12:01:54 AM) are incorrect. NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
Under chrome i fixed it easily - set my clock 1h before real time.
It looks like computer time must be set before date of certification expiration date.So i need to constantly change my date back to be able to visit SL.I guess Arno will fix it tomorrow!
I see the certificate has been renewed. Probably Arno has done it.
Hi,
sorry for letting the HTTPS certificate for Sensei's expire. It should update automatically, but this automation did not survive moving to a new server in January. Checking for this was not on my "things to do when moving" checklist. I've added it now and hopefully you won't see an expired certificates again.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
