wms: Reworking this page (2006-09-26 19:39) [#2225]

During the 3.0 process I started using bugzilla to track bugs.

Would it be better to erase most content of this page, then use it as a read-only copy of the bugzilla bug list?

That is pretty non-wiki, the whole point of a wiki is that anybody can edit, but the problem is that people go typing things into this page and it's not practical for me to always be scanning all changes here, so the bugs are mostly lost. Also, a lot of outdated bugs are on this page, since I don't go through it often and update things.

Any preferences?

If anybody is a bugzilla expert, probably best would be to just tell me how to configure bugzilla so that anonymous users have these abilities:

  - Can see bug list for one project, and one project only (I have two projects in bugzilla, one is not part of KGS and should not be visible to people just browsing the web)
  - Can see bug descriptions, but not more detail (I sometimes put code snippets, etc., in bugs, that I might prefer to keep hidden)
  - Cannot make any changes at all to bugs

Is this possible? Probably not, so copying the bug list somewhere is a better approach...but is this wiki the right place?

In my view, SL isn`t really a suitable place to post third party content that is not editable. Perhaps you could maintain a "known issues" page at gokgs.com?

Which will be your preferred way to recieve bug reports once this page is locked or gone?

Bug reports should be sent to admin@gokgs.com

They should not be put here.

I'll look into a bug info page somewhere on KGS.
