I know this page is an immense list fetish, but is it really worthwhile adding on the current WAGC participants here? That logically means you ought to be doing it for every country, for every year, which is going to start making it all a bit cluttered looking.

This list started from the WAGC participants (or at least all the ones on the English pages about WAGC tournaments). Since then, various people have added more details about their country's top players, to fill out the information. However, for smaller countries with fewer top players, WAGC info is typically all we have to work with.
So I think the WAGC info is useful. The date of the WAGC might not be that useful, agreed, but I don't see any reason to remove it.
