tapir: where to talk about follow up / common probes (2012-01-03 21:04) [#9203]

The merge templates I threw around a year ago might indeed as well be removed.

I see two problems with enclosure coverage on SL (but no solution).

1) I believe it is useful to talk about follow ups to enclosures as soon as possible for nobody should learn enclosure (= territory + potential) to later learn the hard way that the point with the territory might not be literally true. In my own play unlearning such "isolated" knowledge and integrate it to sth. more comprehensive is a rather painful process. (This page is pretty good thanks to Herman, but on the second level enclosure page there simply isn't enough meat.)

2) Also, see how i tried at 3-3 point josekis and 4-4 point josekis to integrate enclosures in the general joseki presentation instead of keeping them apart in an own disconnected joseki tree. Keeping enclosure joseki closer to other joseki will increase their visibility. (Looking at the joseki dictionary I bought for a little fortune recently I am dazzled how Takao Shinji doesn't care about covering enclosures at all.)
