When i create a branch appears an "@" indicating the original position of the stone. If in the second turn of the branch, I have to place a stone at the position of "@", nothing happens. Instead, I retrieves the original game flow. This behaviour complicates the editing of a game. Since I can navigate the flow tree with the keyboard, is possible to "fix" this "issue"? -- Hecel
The @ character gives the position of the move in the main branch when alternate moves are shown as variations rather than next moves (which is not the default). Try Options > Moves and set Show variations as next moves.
Thank you by your answer, Gilles. Firstly I want to say that I Do love this program and I know that the "problem" reported is just a personal point of view. I want to expose my position: when I´m playing, the mouse is used mainly, but when I'm reviewing (so, studying and editing) I use the keyboard in order to control the game flow (going through branches, searching comments, adding comments, branches, etc) and the mouse is used only for adding moves. By showing the branches as variations, once I've choose a branch and I'm going forward and backward through it (for study purpose) I can see the initial move of all the branches, so I can choose one by using the keyboard. I´m focused into the board. When the branches are showed previously, ALL the movements are showed. This is distracting and annoying. Once I've choosed a branch I have to focus into the game tree in order to know where I'm. I think this isn't useful while studying. I'd have to be changing constantly between previous and variation mode in order to edit. Regards, Hecel
