The page history page could have a hint text, that "Repeated edits from the same ip are summarized in one enty." (which is the reason for the seeming gaps in the version numbers)

Is this really a bug? I always thought it is a feature to not flood the Recent Changes page. I am quite sure it is written somewhere, but maybe it need to be more obvious.
