In an effort to make the "missing referrer" issue less painful for regular users, I have now started logging user agent and referrer information for each page request. I hope to find patterns that distinguish users from bad programs.
Example for logged user agent information: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009082707 Firefox/3.0.14"
Referrer is the URL you came from: either from another website or from another page inside SL.
